Investing
Investing is all about cycles. The one that most applies to us today is the cycle between paper assets and hard assets. From 1980 to 2000, the stock market was the place to be. From 2000 until sometime between 2015 to 2020, the place to be is hard assets (gold, silver, agriculture, energy, etc).
The idea is to dollar cost average ourselves into hard assets and stocks that represent companies in hard asset sectors and then move from hard assets into real estate and paper market related stocks as those bottom out and hard assets run into their third leg blow off phase.
“It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight! Men who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon.” – Jesse Livermore
